I know you heard it from older fans but it's absolutely insane that this opinion is still in any circulation (and that it ever was)

I think it came about because people thought it was some side story because the Straw Hats literally leave the blue sea/Grand Line

Honestly Skypeia is a strong contender for most important arc to date and you'll slowly understand that as you progress in the story with that idea really coming together by the time you catch up

Jaya (love Jaya so much) + Skypeia is everything that makes One Piece great imo, way up there for me when it comes to favorite arcs

Idk what your watch schedule is like but you're still gonna be enjoying this for quite a while before you catch up. It's filler but did you watch the g8 arc after Skypiea? It's the filler that most would recommend giving a shot. It's not too long and it just a fun watch that doesn't really contradict much from what I can remember.

Really enjoyed it, I love every time they run into the marines and we get a status update on their notoriety from the government’s point of view. Especially since theres some obviously shady s*** going on over there.

Luffy and Smoker’s developing rivalry in earlier episodes was one of my favorite plotlines to track and this was another variant of that fun dynamic with a different official.

I hope I get to see Blackbeard again soon. I was so hype when it was revealed that the weird cool optimisic drunk on Jaya is actually an important character. His crew minus the wrestler seem ominous as f\*\*\*.

Late but just seeing that there was some discourse over the end of wano with the kurozumi scene and otama being a kurozumi. Idk I think it works in a symbolic way, shows the people of wano haven't really changed all that much which ties into the walls still being closed.

And otama being more or less adopted by the former shogun is poetic in many ways.

Noland one of the best characters in the series
