Ngl it's around that same level for me. The amount of trauma that Kuma's experienced throughout his life, and the ride that Oda took us along to watch all of that unfold, I feel like it gets diminished if Kuma survives. Have Bonney run around with S-Bear if you want her to still have some semblance of her father around

Agree with all of this honestly feel like considering how much keeping this knowledge from the world means to the WG it would be cool if Vegapunk died and he lived on through Punk Records/whatever he manages to share

Yeah I was trying to go easy but yeah the writing around Kuma has been so beautiful and heavy and would be completed so easily and perfectly with his passing. I get that this is Oda's achilles heel but this is a layup. Plus I think it would allow for some really interesting storytelling options to have Bonney have to grapple with her father's passing while commanding an army of look a likes

I just watched the most recent anime episodes. I'm surprised Oda didn't play around with Kizaru controlling the holograms.

They make a point of explaining what they are, and how they can be interacted with, but I don't remember them really mattering for the rest of the arc.

That was my immediate reaction when reading it yeah, Oda can't take this one away from me man I fw Vegapunk but his story arc right here is PERFECT (unless if he lives)
