My new theory
They go to space and land on the moon and somehow shift it's movement permanently in order to reverse the ocean rising, thus saving the planet. I'd say that all the events Vegapunk has predicted do come true causing a ton of devastation and similar to void century a new era will be ushered in. This time with world leaders being the likes of Vivi, Dragon, etc.

this is probably where vegapunk got his theory of devil fruits being the manifestations of peoples dreams/wishes. vegapunk specifies the tales of nika as "fables", but their collective dreams/wishes turned them into reality through a devil fruit. the names nika and joyboy probably became interchangeable because the people of elbaf and the fishman slaves knew of him as nika but to everyone else he was joyboy?

i think meghan from the volume one podcast might've cracked what luffy's dream was over a year ago
she said luffy's dream was for everyone to become a pirate and that's why the crew all had the reactions they did. some of them laughed, some thought it was impossible, others thought it was such a luffy thing to say. with joyboy being the first pirate and luffy being the modern joyboy, things are starting to line up
