Ofc theyre flawed they dropped a chapter or episode every week for 25 years. Would be weirder if they werent flawed. All boils down to how you personally wanna enjoy One Piece imo.

Finally caught up to the latest volume after starting from the beginning last year in October. I found Dressrosa to be the series' low point but it was immediately followed up with a peak in Wano. I strongly dislike how the final stretch of each arc drags on forever but at least in Wano there was some significant reveal in each chapter that kept things interesting.

I like how fast Egghead is moving but I said the same thing about Wano in the beginning before the final act started to crawl. This is just my speculation but in hindsight it feels like the series is being kept on a leash for stakeholder interests (Shueisha, Toei) because of how successful it is. Or maybe Oda legitimately enjoys padding out his story.

I really hope the upcoming anime series cuts all the fat and tightens up the pacing.
