So they reanimated Fishman Island arc?
It’s more like a touch up and cutting it to fix the pacing. Nothing new animation wise is being added but there’s suppose to be new sfx and visual effects.
chopper’s backstory
dr hiriluk's speech is still one of my top moments in the whole series
i do not like wapol or his henchmen at all (besides dalton bc they actually gave him some depth); luffy pulling up on him and talking about the flag is one of the peak moments of the manga so far though it really hit home

You should check out the anime adaptation of Luffy scaling the mountain

i’ll peep it but ngl i feel like some of my fav moments so far don’t hit as well in the anime :/. not sure if it’s the budget or the time in which it was made but for example, the fights at arlong park are kinda weak compared to the source material…haven’t seen anything beyond that arc though so i won’t write it off
when does the fighting get really good? not that it’s a priority or anything because i love the story more so than anything else, but is there a certain point where it feels like there’s a shift?

the anime especially the early anime is a little off. They make kind of weird choices (ace stays with the crew for a couple eps in alabasta) and it all feels kinda weird
The manga is definitively better imo, but recently the animes quality has gotten a lot better. I'm watching the newest arc now (after reading it) and really enjoying it

water 7 is where it goes from "damn this is pretty good" to "wow this is in the running for best manga/anime ever created"

if you can experience the story pure/no spoilers you should. i went in knowing everything and have always wondered what it would be like to experience one piece like that
