Me and Junior peeped this a couple hours back but I was at work
God of the Forest is the progenitor of the devil fruits. "Set forth demons"...devils. They then used the power from the fruits to kill the Sun God and replace him, the Celestial Dragons. The Sun God and the Sea God were allied, thus the God of the Sea put a curse on the devil fruits that if you were to eat them you lose your ability to swim
