Some of the things listed here is pretty interesting like the influence of historical events/figures/myths and their inspiration to the series themes and characters but these fan theories really try to nail down their own hypothesis through every aspect.

I'll just mark this as a spoiler Fx every theory is always involving the moon and linking to everything like the Will Of D. I can see how people pierce things together about the lost century and even the moon through the small things but I just don't feel like it's gonna have some grand moon theme all of a sudden? YOOO. I’ve been meaning to do my annual binge of One Piece but kept procrastinating because Wano wasn’t enticing me like I though I would. But I gotta say volume 95 is POPPING OFF (ShoutoutiBooks). And I’m only on Chapter 958. Oda did hella build up for like 50 straight chapters and it’s about TIME we see this thing pay off. Can’t wait to see what happens next.

And there goes any favorable opinion I had of Kozuki Oden. Worst introduction in a long time. Having a full course meal over the bones of some guys dead father? Tell me that doesn't sound like something you'd expect Wapol to do. Thats the type of thing Luffy would beat the living s*** out of someone for, and he only gets away with it because he's strong and the family of the father is weak. Off the bat, I can't count on this guy to have any decent moral compass.

Now, I'm probably "not supposed" to think about it that deep, but I can't help it. Thats just a really messed up introduction, and weird of Oda to depict girls as being turned on by that. It really is a shame that I was so hopeful for this character after his buildup from just a few chapters ago, too.

I was about to say that too, perhaps there's more context to that than they let on at first or he'll have a change of heart, but he was already built up as such an icon, I was expecting this flashback to reinforce his established traits, not to have him develop as a character mid-flashback. But I'll just see I guess.
