I put my phone down. I read a book. I go outside and touch some grass lift some weights.
And if I’m ready to engage with it I engage with it on my own terms.
Life don’t stop for others just cuz of what I can and can’t handle bro.
And just cuz some topics may be too heavy for some doesn’t mean that it should be censored for others
Realized that barely anybody acknowledged this cuz niggas dont go outside

Its more of tragic political stories I am not ignorance is bliss its more there are no good takes or discussion that comes from it on life and advice section. The threads all go the general way you would expect discussing serious traumatic topics with strangers on the internet would go. Likely with someone banned.

but negative news devolves into political discussion so just put it in politics generally. All the threads about serious topics go the same way. I am not saying make life and advice some sort of utopia but it functions better when its more micro of what we experience in our lives than world events

The feeling of someone rushing to post a thread about a tragic event and updating it gets weird and again all those threads aren't constructive most of the time on many of these topics. I wish it was just the negativity or people saying edgy stuff because it would be easy to just ban them. But its really a LOT OF BAD FAITH arguments on this site. But Life and Advice when dealing with serious topics is EXPONENTIALLY MORE than rest of site and then its demonization and serious topics.

Debating people you will never meet on serious topics and taking everything they say so seriously when you will never meet you don't know their experiences just feels cyclically. Parasocial . People screenshot post out of context or all this extra s*** to get a "W" and the topic be the most traumatizing s*** you can imagine. Then suddenly people typing 5 paragraphs back and forth but come to no sort of understanding hours later.
