im just disappointed man. not even with this album rn cause it’s cool for what it is ig but more with what lone’s become, his music just falls so flat to me these days; he just sounds so detached, feels like the music lacks any liveliness, flavor, spirit, whatever - it didn’t use to be so colourless..

main thing is just a lack of direction and how that kinda trickled down to a lot of aspects on this album

just played Pimp talk, No worries and baby money in that order and yeah hear me out.. if he really wanted to do this atl-inspired album i wish this was the sound he sticked with for the most part, needed more songs like this

hmmm for one i think he needs to tour regardless of anything

i think ppl underrate how much touring can impact the perception of music (happened with carti and ken). i think one of the most tragic things to happen was that he couldn't tour ILCK properly in a way to get more ppl onboard with that era

part 2 or the deluxe being a grails tape is a good move in his case and i'm usually not really a fan of fan service, but in this scenario i think it's fine

i don't think it's like over for lone or anything, but I really don't see this being the project that just 3x his fanbase and popularity like an AGC. even if a song on here goes up like that, I don't think it's gonna be one of those things that boosts the album as a whole (think how freestyle 2 was the main one from X vs. how AGC as a whole got popular)

all in all, if he solidifies core fanbase and regroups for next era... i can see success but also I think his time to blow like ken is doing WAS during the ILCK era and I just don't know how many chances you get at some s*** like that lol

also 00 Twins dropping would be good for him AND ken fr the label just needa force them to do that

agreed with everything. you make a good point about lone's window to blow being ILCK, even the marketing budget for that album reflected that the whole team thought that album was gonna be huge. no tour was the nail in the coffin

next era he just gotta lock in and get the curation process in order, that s*** dead might be his last chance bc LLF not gonna be doing any huge numbers.
