Roman Polanski, woody Allen, Tom cruise, will smith, Christian bale, and plenty of others in Hollywood are terrible or insane people. Do you seriously want to go down the road of who’s a good person or not in f***ing Hollywood?

Here’s a better way to frame your argument. Media critics are more preferential to bad people who don’t go against their agenda like Jim Caviezel does

We’ve already established most people are film illiterate and only watch a movie because an authority figure told them it’s good. Most people are too scared to ever have an opinion that goes against the consensus

If anything, it’s never been worse. The idea that diversity simply makes a movie better is toxic and disappointing

Atleast back when only white people were getting cast, we’d evaluate a movie on its merits

So you haven't seen it, but you are obsessed with how unfairly it's being treated by- someone. Like it's not the critics because it's fresh on Rotten Tomatoes. It's not the general public because it's made a lot of money.

You just insist we not bring up QAnon despite them catering the movie to QAnon at QAnon events for years before it ever came out. QAnon people themselves have even criticized it for not being QAnon enough.

People can just watch Taken and Man on Fire and 8mm and all kinds of cool movies instead. I highly recommend it.

Where did I say it’s unfairly being treated? I said it just clearly shows the bias of the critics when only 50 of them reviewed it (the vast majority of whom instead have published articles decrying the audience and talking about the movie hiding the real image of the organization it’s depicting) and its barely positive but hundreds of them d***ride Blackkklansman and stayed silent on the fact that the real person did far more damage to the Black Panther party than he did to the KKK and most of what the movie shows never even happened

I don’t think sound of freedom deserves a 90% RT score or whatever. I’m just calling out the clear double standard here.

Also critics didn’t like any of those 3 movies you listed either. But they loved Cuties. Maybe the real problem is that film critics are all pedophiles

Media critics are in major cities and they might be more preferential to Spike Lee than Jim Caviezel- who is actually insane and a terrible person. Who would have guessed. Who the f*** is reading these articles. You might check RT or Metacritic and dip. Might.

A period piece generally goes down smoother than contemporary political discourse. That's why people make period pieces and launder contemporary discourse through it
