The only reason CODA picked up momentum is because in the final few weeks people realized what a joyless film Power of the Dog really is, combined with the fact that no one actually liked it. This year, the two frontrunners in Everything Everywhere and Banshees are actually films that people enjoy, and Everything Everywhere is fun and exciting. Fablemans is forever stuck in the mud. It's not going to gain the momentum that CODA did because it's essentially the film that's going up against the CODA's.
