The best picture category looks like they went for popularity over actual great movies, I guess so more people could watch. And when those new people watching get mad when tar wins, the Oscar get their talked about moment the next day.

banshees was tough for me to relate to tbh. never quite have had a friend outgrow me nor have i outgrown a friend. i'm sure there are some other subtle themes about life, but yea the main story and tale it shows was not quite relatable for me.
