Black Panther didn’t get any nominations in the “major” categories, just Costume Design, Visual Effects, and Makeup, three fields that blockbusters usually dominate.
The other two were Best Original Song for Lift Me Up and Best Supporting Actress for Angela Bassett. I don’t see what’s not “credible” about that
