Ok, well, what’s an example of an agenda nom, or win?
I seriously have no idea but are we still living in a time where all the voters are old ass white guys?
I didn’t even finish Blonde
It was such melodramatic garbage
It wasn’t provocative, it wasn’t exciting, it was boring
Generationally bad movie
you talkin bout Ana when we got this Andrea chick right here!!
I haven’t seen the movie yet (no one has lol) so I’m not sure if the performance really brings it
But I did see Blonde, and that performance as ASS
And while we're on the subject of snubs:
Do the right thing not getting best picture and Spike Lee NEVER getting a best director win is the biggest snub of all time
Idc
And then they tried to give him that bullshit adapted screenplay award as a "we f***ed up, here you go"....No give that man his best director award

Nigga Andrea is a million times better actress than Ana...a millllllion times better
Haven't seen To Leslie yet but can guaranteed she gives a way better performance than whatever tf blonde was
We were one don’t worry darling nom away from this s*** looking like a mtv movie awards tbh
your time is coming, john, keep working.
Decent film. John isn't there yet, some of his performance felt like a low grade Denzel impersonation

I dunno lol. I think they made some effort to diversify the voting pool. I think that’s a fair point if you want to make it, I honestly don’t know who gets a say-so, all I’m saying is I don’t think they all talk amongst themselves and collectively agree on an agenda they’re all going to run with.

a million?! alright relax

yea he still need time. hope he keep getting roles.

If it's more diversified now then It's harder to see any agendas. But if it's all still the same type of folks running things then I can easily see them getting together to figure out who's gonna win.
How tf does anyone explain Green book winning
a million?! alright relax
A million fam. You don't understand how terrible I think Ana is. Her only semi-decent role was Knives out, and that's just cus I like the movie as a whole.

He's better when hes in a more subtle role. The over the top yelling in the bank came across like he was tryna channel John Q/Training Day/ and any other Denzel film lol

I see it as a bunch of separate stupidity, as opposed to coordinated stupidity
Who knows tho

Also we just seen evidence ITT how people collectively came together to get Andrea nominated. Now I dont know what "agenda" would be behind that. But you wild if you don't think that sometimes these people aint getting into a huddle to figure out who's gonna win.
S*** is a business fam before anything. And they know how every "Oscar winner" reflects onto Hollywood. And the idea of having the power for a certain film to win if you come together isn't gonna go wasted.
Doesn't mean EVERY single time is like that, but I can guaranteed there's been moments where the voters come together and push for certain films to win.

Maybe. It’s all a mystery to me tbh. But I’m losing the desire to care about it lol. I’m gonna call out bullshit either way.

Yeah definitely. My only concern is that it's not still 99% old white dudes trying to judge what black, or any other race or women films is considered "good enough"
