Best pic nominees off the top of my head that are worse than topgun: jojo rabbit, green book, don’t look up, bohemian rhapsody. I’m sure there are many more weird outliers that we forget slipped through the cracks and into the best picture ballot

And unfortunately the same for Angela Basset to a lesser degree. For both (especially Angela) it’s a “we should’ve gave you one years ago” make up award.
