Charles Melton should have a spot (and he would probably be my winner) but Gosling was never not going to be nominated. It was always him and RDJ, and then a toss up for the remaining three spots. The real crime in that category is Sterling K Brown's nomination.

Gosling's performance isn't deep or profound or anything like that, but it's still a brilliantly comedic, over the top performance and it rivals the best of his career.
