part of being a neet or otaku or someone who's terminally online and i think this is more likely to be an issue for the young ones in their late teens or early 20s... part of the issue is niggas really base reality off anime so when they see some s*** in anime that looks good, pretty or sweet... they start to base their expectations for reality around that

the sad reality is the world is unpredictable and human relationships typically have a fleeting and transactional quality to them. nothing comes for free. b****es and even friends will be around for the good times and dip when s*** gets ugly. it can be as simple as that. why? cause people got their own lives and most of the time don't care about you or only care about you so much as it's not too inconvenient for them to care. simple facts.

so when i'm watching an anime with some friendship theme and niggas in the comments making sappy replies about how they wish this was their life or how this mirrors their life - nigga chill. in reality, no piece of media should mirror your life that much. it's fiction after all. try to find more of a footing in reality. i would really recommend these niggas either start meditating or learn to be more present, go to therapy or read some self help books cause s*** is not gonna be conducive to any sort of real world interaction in the future.

Otaku is a Japan started thing and yes there are Animes that cater to that audience & theme.

Its been a thing since the 80s in the form of we know today, but wven as early of the 70s in a budding form.

This is not groundbreaking or different or new.

Otaku as in the Japanese sense has been a niche outcast culture longer than anyone on this site has been alive lol.

And there is anime and creators thay do the exact opposite of basically "attacking" that crowd.

The late 90s to early 2000s specifically some animators and manga artists hated that s*** because even tho Otaku is the most devoted and money spender on the priducts and industry, theyre taste is/was expected to be catered too from the higher ups.

Kinda like the Isekai s*** (which is a branch of Otaku) that plauged anome of the late 2010s and beginnings of this decade.

TL;DR: this is not new nor shocking and wow niche geoup gets catered too in specific niche shows who would have guessed

it's not that they get catered to bro, it's the nature of the content in the anime justifies their unhealthy expectations and enables wish fulfilment fantasies to be proliferated and treated like they're normal and not maladjusted coping mechanisms to the real world. what i'm basically saying in op is these niggas need to either go to therapy, read about self improvement or meditate so as to get off these unrealistic expectations and start focusing more on achievable real world goals. it's not that deep. i don't care about that otaku s*** truthfully.
