You been d***riding the hardest itt tho
its called facts. some of you niggas at some point should just accept the market realities and stop the copin.
This argument just make guys like Ye,Jay or even dudes like Dre and Diddy look amazing. Ye and Jay after a decade in rap were still fresh af. Dr.Dre had yet to discover 50 Cent,Game and Kendrick by then and Diddy was still going strong af after a decade.
Kendrick feels like he’s finished,Cole on his last legs,I don’t think he has much more to give to rap and Drake knocking on that door too. Of course these guys still gonna rap beyond a decade but our big 3,I feel, has said what their gonna say imo.
It’s funny a lot of us consider Kenny / Cole / Drake the big 3 of new gen but they aren’t new Gen anymore lmao
That could be like saying Kanye is new gen in 2014 lol
It’s weird cus I remember like it was just yesterday when Kenny / Big Sean / Cole / Drake blew up

Finished?
I love that we get to experience all three of these GOATS’ eras simultaneously. All three still creating music at the absolute highest level.
And yes I feel old af
Take Care, Sideline Story
Then maad City
Then Born Sinner and NWTS
classic era for me growing up
Finished?
Not finished as in washed up but finished as in taking a more backseat role and doing way more stuff on the business side of things in rap then actually making rap. Mr.Morale felt like his send off album to me,it’s like he’s telling everybody “I’m not gone but idk when I’ll be back”.

This aint wall street you cretin go talk about the market to other dudes they aint facts over here

They also started younger tho
Ye, Hov both started in their late 20s
Dre is an anomaly
the other 3 all got on in their late teens/early 20s n spent that late 20s period in the prime of their careers
End of Transmission
2000-2003 em , jay , outkast
2003-2007 em, ye , 50
2007 - 2011 ye , wayne , jay
2011-2015 ye , drake , wayne
2015-2018 ye , drake , kdot
2018-2022 ye , drake , cole
2022 - ye , drake , kdot
Notice how kanye been in the top 3 since he came up?
KENDRICK TOP 3 HOW?
KENDRICK TOP 3 HOW?
You mean why him and not cole?
He's way more impactful than cole and his music is way better , even if it sold the same

It’s crazy i think todays big 3 burning out faster then yesteryears big 3 definitely has a lot to do with how fast everything moves these days and how it’s difficult to keep up. It’s still a remarkable accomplishment for guys like Jay,Ye and he’ll,even Eminem stayed fresh to their audiences after a decade.
Forgot to answer my own questions lol:
I dont feel old but it is wild when you lay it all out.
No not really, i expected them to go far but not like this. I dont think anyone foresaw them being as big as they literally are & still reigning on tippy top.
I prefer Kendrick the most. Kendrick > Drake > Cole, but i do like all 3.
First heard Kendrick with KLEP thru Youtube, its what got me into underground Rap. Heard Drake with So Far Gone from my older friends, & heard Cole actually the latest, with Sideline Story thru the singles. I became a fan of Kendricks with overly Dedicated, Drake with Take Care & Cole with Born Sinner.
Idk, I thot by now we would have real contenders. But basically the next gen main leaders dying plus covid stopped that. So idk when they will slow down, or get overtaken. Drake then Kendrick then Cole have the top sellers for a decade now, including older rappers, peers & the newer gen.
I hope I see more collaboration between them in the near future. I hope with Kendrick now off of Top & creating PGLang, he can do more with Cole (maybe the collab album since they said the label web is what put it on the back burner) or at the very least just collab tracks, & I hope Drake makes a project that I personally enjoy again (More Life & a good chunk of Scop is the last), & I hope he collabs with Cole again n fuly squashes whatever happened between him & Kendrick since all 3 have nothing to prove anymore & are entering victory lap years.
We'll see, but Im glad I grew up in my teen years to witness it all & be at the very center of the cultural zeitgeist. Truly lightning in the bottle right time right place type s***
I feel like Cole kinda lucky that he got included in that big 3. FHD was a huge moment but that’s really it. Nicki and Future as a whole were bigger in those 10 years imo.
Same way he got included in the deep rapper circle, even though he never really made any poignant observations about important societal problems like Kendrick did
