Been regularly using the Arc’teryx Squamish for almost two years now. Probably the most versatile jacket I own. The packability is so clutch and makes it a hiking essential. I can use it in basically all weather except winter depending on what I wear underneath. Keeps heat in and cold out very well. If you’re looking for a jacket for day hikes this is a great purchase. For more advances multi-day treks I would probably look at one of their goretex shells instead.
Just wanted to share cause I wore the s*** out of this jacket this past summer on many hikes. I picked it up for half-off a couple years ago. $200 is a little steep for how light it is but Arc’teryx s*** is always pricey.

More or less in the same tier as the Atom right?

I straight up start feeling funny in my pants whenever I see packable clothes, no weird s***

Really similar but atom is insulated so you can use it much easier in the cold or as a base layer under a proper shell. You can use the Squamish in the cold too but you gotta layer up underneath it

It tucks into the jacket really easily cause it’s so thin, I’ve seen people do that and then wear this jacket underneath something else
i need the clothes to drop. the outerwear looks great

I got brown as well, love the suede accent and silver hardware. S*** is honestly a steal at that price, vibram sole and everything. Red laces is a sick idea I might steal that
Saw the Roa Andreas on a site for €300 and I hesitated if I should buy them.
Now they’re sold out and I regret not getting them

My pair came in and they're fire. A bit muted in person but they're solid in construction and super comfortable for boots. Wasted no time and ordered a set of red laces. Laces measured 65in on my sz9.5 if you're looking to buy replacements.
