Kevin Gates was headed for a really long career mainstream wise but those bogus things that mantained him in jail when he was peak hype for more than a year killed his career tbh

Kevin Gates is partly to blame just for the the type of music he makes- he hasn’t done the pop rap album attempt since Islah.

Eh, they still are, but they're definitely not embarking on anymore full scale arena tours stateside from here on sans a few one-offs in select markets

    Classique

he hasn’t dropped in almost half a decade

I guess when you say it like that it sounds long but it’s only been a newly 4 years, plus the album dropped late 2020

Not to mention the promo run after the album with videos & what not

So really it’s been like 3 which makes sense for his level. He’s passed having to drop every two years, he’s cemented

  • so much pain

Detroit 2 was cool for a sec when it dropped but it didn’t leave me wanting more Big Sean im cool with it being his retirement one lowkey

yeah but the hype around D2 was there nevertheless

Sean has enough pull to gain attention whenever he does drop tbh

Thread should be reserved for artist like BOB who’s truly fell off the face of the earth

They kinda sucked to begin with so I never understood the hype anyway

Realized the clock hit 2020 and everyone stopped mentioning Vampire Weekend after a full decade of insane praise

because they havent dropped an album in 4 years and yes admittedly their last one was lackluster and their worst album, especially since it followed up the masterpiece that was MVOTC. nonetheless it was still a good album and they were hyped in the early 2010s since they literally dropped 3 back to back classics.
