I've played 10 games so far with the same heroes on the exact same maps I played on 5 years ago.
Although there are new characters, I haven't seen enough to justify it being an actual sequel.

exact same maps? never played OW1 but I read that all the maps are bigger? I think you might just be capping lol it’s a sequel tho dude. They’re refining the good elements of OW, not trying to reinvent themselves

bro i role queued as DMG and the other DMG hero was always complete ass LMFAO like me and the tank would usually have the most DMG and kills, then the 2 healers, then the other DMG hero at the bottom

The old maps are the exact same tbh but the little gameplay changes make up for it imo

From what I've played they seem to be the exact same.

I get capeing for a game you like but so far Ive seen nothing that's really made it overwatch 2 over overwatch 1.5
Im still playing because I like overwatch but I have yet to even play on a new map lmao. Besides the new characters and 5 vs 5 it feels like 2016 again

Maybe there are new modes I haven't unlocked yet?

This launch is a complete mess though, I still don't have any of my skins, my gold guns, none of that s***, characters are locked

Like I don't even play this s***, I don't even know if they'll fix this or be able to. They should be dropping double xp for the constant troubles on top of that.

That sounds like my jam I just got into the custom games and that's a good step for them.

I think overwatch has desperately needed at least couple more game modes for awhile.

the balls on them asking for 40

It’s faster paced, tanks have more carry potential now that it’s 5v5, all of the maps have been slightly changed and have more cover for supports, the ults take longer to get and feel more eventful because of it, etc. OW2 feels completely different than the last iteration of OW1.
