He’s done every Drake project in one capacity or another

Yeah outside of DLDT and IYRTITL, 40 was pretty much the lead producer on every Drake project

He’s a legendary engineer and has a good ear for samples
hes not that good of a producer

His production and engineering kind of go hand in hand tho imo. His stuff on Take Care and NWTS was great

    He was all over views

True he was on more than I remembered but it still seemed like his role had declined.

Sending my prayers to him and his family

He’s great but I think the thing that holds him back in all time discussions is that his solo production discog is lacking compared to other all timers.

After 2010 most of his s*** is co prod

Yeah and part of that is also that he only produces for drake and his health might have even reduced that

Of course. I guess what I was getting at is that him saying he’s “doing” drake’s new album doesn’t necessarily mean that he’s gonna resume his role from the early albums

nah the 40 diss was fair game.

never, Pusha pushed the narrative that it was fair because Drake "dissed" his wife, but all he did was reference her to make a double entendre about "let it ring", he never dissed her

it can be kinda disrespectful to say his fiance's (at the time) name, but it ain't s*** compared to wishing someone with MS, especially as innocent and good hearted as 40, death

    He did Scorpion lol

He produced 4 of the 24 tracks with some additional prod credits here and there. If that’s what he considers doing a drake album then that’s kind of my point, he’s not actually doing it like he did take care

ok so after reading the article, it’s good to hear that strain of weed really helps him with the side effects while still letting him be as productive as he wants

and also the fact that he still has full cognitive function and ability, and the fact that he’s taking this very serious now

It’s late afternoon on a frigid January in one of Toronto’s remote industrial parks. 40 is 37 years old now — for most of his life since his diagnosis, he wasn’t taking the medication that would suppress his MS. He’s calm as he tells the story.

    wtf
