Hey man i wasn't trying to play you like my opinion is any more valid then mine brother. Then i guess you favor tracks to turn up to in general i assume? Because for me it's the other way around, at least at this time in my life. There was a period a few years ago when i stopped listening to older more conscious hiphop all together. And right now i'm back listening to music that hits my soul more again.

As long as we can have a respectful discussion about it i see no problems fam

Nobody on this site experienced Pac in real time all you have are anecdotes. The first time you listened to his music you probably already heard from others how great he was.

We are seeing YB run in real time from 38 baby (2016 to now). Ofc this generation is gonna fw his music way harder than Pacs.

We need to let go of the older = better mentality. Pac could never make a Toxic Punk or a Solar eclipse

I don't think anything you said has anything to do with my opinions on Pac and Youngboy

Older doesn't equal better and of course with music the way it sounds aka taste comes into play so yeah there's gonna be different opinions

Where it becoms a problem to me though, is when people dismiss older music right away. Which makes people sound like a bunch of NPCs in IG comment sections calling s*** ''dusty'' when most of em haven't even listened to a full project of the thing they're trying to roast or w/e

I didn't like it when my generation did it to older rappers and i don't like it now

Youngboy and Pac make very different music for different crowds and purposes and i feel like a comparison is dumb anyway..

YBs music and Pacs music are very similar in spirit. That’s why you hear the comparison a lot.

The new I Got a family tape feels more like a compilation of the stuff he was working on recently but it's not bad
