Someone tell the premise of this show please

It's a bit difficult to explain, but the main idea is that it follows a Korean family that immigrates to Japan. The overarching theme is the harsh treatment of and discrimination against Koreans by the Japanese. The first season time jumps between 1915, the 1930s, and 1989. The main character in the early-mid 1900s (and of the story as a whole) is Sunja and the main character in 1989 is her grandson.

It's really a fantastic show and an even better story. And, like most Apple TV shows, a hidden gem due to really poor promotion. I'd recommend it to anyone.

What an end to the season... Absolutely fascinating piece of art that isn't getting anywhere remotely close to the love and appreciation it deserves. This will be on all-time lists by the series' conclusion.

finally caught up, fantastic finale once again. Hope a third season comes sooner than the second did.
also loved hearing Rose's cover of Viva La Vida at the end
