Arab culture is a real thing but yes ethnicity wise Arab world is extremely diverse

It’s harder to call it an ethnicity. Many people of the levant/sham weren’t ‘Arab’ but became Arabized. We’re considered Arabs because we’ve had the culture and language for centuries at this point.

You can look at North African people who are split between being Arab and Berber. They’re in the earlier stages of where the ancient people of Levant were. As time progresses they assimilate more and become more identifiable as ‘Arab’.

I think it’s still fair to call it an ethnicity based on the culture alone that’s shared. I atleast don’t see it as being purely based on genetics.
