Pan Arabism Thread

No offense but that’s ridiculous. I question your entire perspective you think he cared the least bit about the protestors or ‘appeasing them’

He was slitting their throats and lining bodies in rivers in Aleppo before the start of the conflict even began Where was his appeasement for protestors then? HE escalated the situation.

He released known terrorists this is verified. The protestors weren’t on the same side of them and had completely different end goals besides getting rid of Assad. What you’re inferring makes no sense.

Assad recived suitcases full of cash from not so tremendous people too. Rest in pieces Soleimani

10 years on we can finally say the Arab spring failed in every single country in which it happened. Tunisia is now a dictatorship again They were the only successful example.

the middle east was targeted just like theyre trying to target some south/latin american countries now

In regards to the coup in Tunisia recently Idk if it’s a good thing in the long term. Short term is good cause the majority party in parliament is an Islamist party And the Islamist party got overthrown. And that could potentially lead to a civil war though which is why in the long term it isn’t that good.

Sounds like what happened to Algeria. And in the case of Algeria, I think we can all agree that the FLN was right to crush the Islamists. This is why I find this Tunisia thing troubling It’s eerily similar to Algeria. Basically after secularists couped the Islamists in Algeria the Islamists rose up in revolt And waged guerilla war for like 10 years. Arab volunteers coming back from the soviet afghan war also worsened the conflict in Algeria Cause they tended to be more extreme and militant.

Finally something me and you agree on. Throughout modern Arab history the Islamists/Salafis and Wahhabi ideologues have consistently sabotaged and set back the resistance and formation of not only a United arab nation but also a United arab mind

Yeah, Sayyid Qutb work didn't just influence the sunni world, Khomeini loved the guy and khamenei translated Qutb's book in the shades of Quran to Farsi. That book alone is responsible for spreading Sayyid Qutb ideology plus getting executed in Egypt solidified his status.

I wouldn’t say that Qutb is like the sole reason behind the spread of islamism seeing that the "Muslim" Brotherhood existed way before he was around as well as many other individuals contributing to that ideology but you are right to a extent.

    Where did you learn?

  • Birdie

    Where did you learn?

It's mainly self taught, I didn't have a centralized resource for it, so I'm not completely fluent. I used a mix of language learning apps alongside online resources to fill in the gaps. I found Al-Jazeera's arabic learning good and there were some lessons I found on YT. I know enough I can read basics and i can speak/understand enough to get around and have mid-level conversations; i basically only can understand gulf & levantine dialects though besides msa.

I am out of my mind! I believe all these leader. The ayatollah from Iran, Bashar Assad, POTUs ... are all controlled by big bank corporations and US lobbyists.

It's a perspective. You can ridicule me for it. But looking at how this s*** been unfolding I believe it is very very plausible.

No the strict Islamic ones collect fees per transactions and then redistribute them to account holders
