So it looks like this is happening! I could see this film being very successful if adapted and marketed correctly. It's not really a sci-fi story but more of a dystopian. Melina hasn't directed a film since Queen & Slim but she's been around so I'm interested in what she's able to do with the source material. I like her visual eye. We need someone good to write the script though.

are there any Butler/Parable of the Sower fans out there?

Kindred, I believe, was the first Butler adaptation so it seems like we're opening up the flood gates for more Butler adaptations which is a win.
