hayley so limber on the vocals here, her approaches are so varied

This album is a really cool follow up to After Laughter.

Is more lowkey and more vibey I think, not as many immediately hooky pop jams as AL, but this album excels in different ways. The production is really nuanced and subtle, but really really interesting imho. Some of the syncopated bass and guitar work on here is sick. I think this is going to get better and better with repeated listens as I keep familiarizing myself with the melodys. Hayley sounds amazing.

I will say - it feels really short. I’d love to see them explore this sound in like twice the length and go full Talking Heads type s*** with just longer experimental weird passages because tbh this FEELS like that type of music, but it does feel like it’s missing a LITTLE bit of the weird ambition

incredible album tho gonna give it a couple (a thousand) more listens before making my mind up truly, im very biased since i love them to death 🫠

C’est is really the only real complaint I have. I like the verses a lot, but the chorus seems a little lazy
