I think that this song is about pimping (literally). I think it’s somewhat of an ode to a loyal girl who he’s pimping. I think that the first 4 lines are direct praises to the girl. He’s faded thanks to her because she “hits the strip every week”, the same strip where “her clients pay the payment”. This all results in both him and the girl enjoying the earnings and “smoking half an ounce of weed”. The next 5 lines go into deeper detail about the luxurious life of pimping, starting with, “It’s that life that got no limits, my visa debit be pimped out.” When we get near the end of the verse, the theory that he’s actually talking about pimping starts to make even more sense. When he says, “I’m still riding down Centennial,” I think Centennial is his block, his territory for his girl to work on, and he’s riding through to check on her and making sure everything is going smooth, keeping tabs. Then he goes on to say, “Real ** know where the real strip be,” which I think means that real ** know that his strip is the best strip to find “quality working girls”, the type of working girls who look like Tammy Torres (Tammy Toe), as stated in the 3rd line of the song. He continues on to say, “Real ** know what the real hit be,” which I think is implying that the girl he’s singing about is a hit, a hot commodity, basically much better quality than the girls who are being pimped on other blocks, so “real **” know where bring their business and find the best bang for the buck (pun intended), which is on Centennial. He wraps up this particular rhyme scheme with, “Real ** know what the real lick read,” which, in the case of doing business on the strip, means that real ** know that they will be getting their money’s worth when they “pay the payment” to the girl. PARTYNEXTDOOR ends the verse repeating, “And if all goes down, she down for me. And if all goes down, I’ll probably make a mil with her.” Here, I think he’s saying that If everything goes as planned and the girl keeps raking in money from clients, she’ll always remain loyal to him. Lastly, following the previous line, he ends the verse by expressing that, if everything goes as planned, he’ll probably make a million dollars with the girl’s work on the strip. He obviously respects this girl so he didn’t say that he’ll make a million “off of” her. He’ll make a million “with her” and she’ll get a piece of the pie too because that’s just what kind of pimp PND is. This annotation is a theory. I do not know PND and there’s no way for me to really know exactly what he meant by this song. I’m not attempting to stain his name and falsely accuse him of being a pimp. All I’m saying is that this just so happens to be the way that I interpreted the lyrics. Happy annotating. Peace.
