think of it this way:

we heard three songs. None horrible but none great. I would give them B grades but maybe i'm generous.

We still got 11 songs left. Party has never dropped a trash LP. 1, 2, 3 are all classics. You telling me he gonna drop 11 mid songs? no way

my feeling it that we are about to get a very safe project

it's gonna be the colours 2 of LPs

not much experimental sound, but safe sound that has worked before

this is due to a series of factors, one being he had been out of the game for 3 years, and the last project 7days, didn't really go well

he will play it safe and the music will be fine.

Also because of how P3 was received. He put a lot of emotion into that project just for people to call it trash. He’s playing it safe and trying really hard to replicate his early sound.

It’s okay to be skeptical but I think your assessment is accurate. It’s gonna be a fine project. Not gonna hold a candle to his first three but will still have some gems sprinkled in.
