Beautiful story and impressive debut from Song. Greta Lee was great in this too
Seems like this was at least semi autobiographical too. Greta’s character has the exact same background as the director
Thought this was pretty good but it didn’t end up hitting me as hard as I thought it would but it’s something I would watch again. Nora’s husband is strong asl idk if I would have reacted with as much grace in that situation as he did.
Side note the actor who plays Nora is gorgeous.
Also the opening shot was sooo good
will prolly watch tuesday
liked it, didn't love it. didn't find it as emotionally evocative as I would've hoped.
good score, good cinematography
3.5/5

Score kept building up interactions I was hoping would be more emotionally resonant/ fulfilling but at least for me they never came. Felt very similar to you on this
the call back to the stairs scene at the end hit hard for a second but I guess I expected more from it

Yea same, felt very distant to the characters and their feelings

I felt the same. I liked a lot of it but didn’t really connect with the characters as much as others did. Just in general didn’t feel like anything special
super boring, theres literally nothing interesting about any of the characters or anything that makes you feel attached to them
wouldnt recommend seeing this in theatres
A nice ending but I'd be lying if I said i wasn't bored for a lot of that first hour. All three performances were good but none blew me away.
just copped tickets.
white boy who writes book called boner and still plays video games w headset on at the age of 40.. yeah she married the wrong one

The opening sequence in Korea was the best part. Lowkey this would have been a dope mini series

vs a boring dude who couldn’t get over his 5th grade crush as 30 y/o
ngl surprised at how high the ratings are for this movie. this like a 7.5-8/10 at best imo
non of the characters were flesh out enough for me to be emotionally attached or whatever
also @gio nor wrong about the korean dude being pathetic for still not getting over 5th grade crush
whole time i was like man this would never happen irl cause anyone older than mid 20s knows those elementary school relationships/friendships mean absolutely nothing by the time u graduate college.

Exactly I feel like they made the loser white dude more reasonable and more interesting than the other characters which made me kind of not like the movie in general even though some parts were done well. Couldn’t relate at all to people talking about understanding how the korean dude felt
