Need to rewatch The Master, Licorice Pizza and There Will Be Blood

    Hard Eight is pretty average.

Still need to watch Inherent Vice.

Everything else is prestige filmmaking of the highest order.

  • I'll be seated. I liked licorice pizza, but hope -and i'm pretty sure-this one will pack a punch.

  • really looking forward to seeing the action in this. The action scenes he's filmed were always memorable, so a whole film of him flexing his ability to pull that off? man...

Remember when they gave Noah Baumbach a big budget to adapt a post modern, difficult-to-adapt, novel and it flopped (it wasn’t bad).

First half was so good to me! He weirdly made a super speilbergy family-in-a-scifi-pandemic type blockbuster feeling movie. With amazing performances by everyone

Had no idea what any of the second half was about tho. Literally couldn’t follow it

I often think about how Noah, Alejandro and Chazelle are all late 2010s critical/award darlings who got massive budgets and made gigantic ambitious flops within the same few years
