when compared to the rest of his filmography

I prefer the more focused character studies to the episodic pacing

Movies like these always tend to get overrated on release tbh

Genuinely surprised that people think this. And very confused.
From a pure production (and if you wanna be real, an Oscar count) standpoint… it’s not even close. The sloppy CGI vs virtually no CGI also does it for me.
