16gb for the xx80 is quite low when the whole point of the card is to be a "gateway" to ray-tracing on 1440p and above, a step below the xx90.
Especially since this is NVIDIA we're talking about. S***'s gonna be expensive as f***
My RX 6900XT is 16gb, and it released four years ago lol. Bought it for $650 new.
Okay just opened the article and found out the xx90 is 32GB which is a pretty big jump so I see what you mean. Knowing NVIDIA they probably gonna make another variant with 24GB down the line or some s***.
I wanna say most people don't need all that VRAM but after playing Wilds beta and seeing how unoptimised it is I can see the need for it
Wait is 16GB bad now? I’m still on 8GB what type of games you playing?
Modded 4K gaming takes a toll, s*** just playing at 4K does
Man i hope tariffs dont make budget - mid tier parts un buy able.
The skeptic in me is thinking thats why intel is pricing the arc (presumably) so cheaply, like theyre getting ready to raise that price. Though i hope im just misinformed and delusional
We'll see with the other components. Nvidia most likely never getting anywhere near cheap again lol

this is why i’ve been considering upgrading finally because i already messed up when i bought my pc during covid i paid way too much for my specs

Imo id just do it before s*** sells out (if you can). And by the time everything gets restocked trump tariffs make used 1080s cost 900 bucks (worst case scenario)
I think about like trying to time the stock market, its cap. Just gotta buy as soon as you can

I am happy I got my 4090 when I did lol
Also, ended up copping a Legion Go to replace my Steam Deck and I'm pretty impressed with it. Bit large but I just play while lying down so it works out. Believe a new one drops next month with an OLED display so I might bite the bullet and scoop that

F***in nvidia. Gpu cost more than a car. Crying.
I just scooped bae a 7800xt 16 gb and called it a day.
By the time i build my own pc imma have sell our first born

It was quite literally more expensive than the first car I got like 13 years ago Only got it because I wanted to make sure I could utilize my 4k 144hz monitor. Probably could've just went with the 4080 or 7900xtx (?) but I'm happy with my choice.
Still 7800xt is a great card. Don't have too much time left before those tariffs hit (allegedly), so good luck and try not to sell the kid

U def bought it at the right time. Card gon last a while most likely and its prob gonna be the cheapest its ever gonna be.
And yeah i hope the tariff s*** is overstated. Im still gon build it but if i really gotta pay 6 racks for a mid tier build imma be heated. No way im copping those big trash pre builds either lol
Yep balatro
Finished neon white the other day. Its soo good i highly recommend. Machine girl soundtrack is killer too

How is the space dlc? Is it overly complicated like end game? Idk if it’s worth that price
83 games damn I thought I was a true gamer but you showed me, you sir have quite the range

it changes the research progression early on, there are some techs you cant unlock until you start doing the space s***, eg cliff explosives. Basically it changes the whole game instead of just appending content.
I put in days worth of time into it and still didnt reach another planet yet lol. Ill return to it when i get the cravings. Its not like it was boring or anything, i just got tired of overthinking how i wanted to set up new factories etc cause i was trying be to perfectionist about it.
Its pretty f***ing sick though, id recommend if you like the base game. I got the base game for 20 bucks when it first released on steam so the dlc price didnt feel egregious
