I install everything into their own sandboxes tbh
Always the way ive used it, and rarely had problems for a long time.

What are you doing that for? I only use Sandboxie to try to run two game clients at once so I can co-op multiseat.

1 virus protection with pirated software
2, it makes portable installs... So when i upgrade laptops, i can just copy paste everything.

At this point, i have sandboxes on externals too, so i dont even have to copy/paste anything. Just gotta point out the paths in the config 1 time

I was an early fan of fitgirl.

One of fitgirls early repacks had an "unarc.dll" leftover file after an install. Norton was adamant that it was malicious. And it wasnt needed to run the game.

When i posted about it on the kickass forums, fitgirl replied all pissed off, being overly defensive.

These days, shes intentionally blocking her repacks from being installed in a virtual environment.

Just pointing out some general odd behaviour. I wouldnt be surprised if she snuck something into her repacks in the not so distant future. She wouldnt be the first, and she wont be the last to try it.

That right there is why i install pirated games into sandboxes tho.

Cant say ive seen anything malicious. Battlenet is worse with its lingering processes than anything ive downloaded from either.
