Even better the second time around. Honestly, one of the best horror movies of this decade. Makes X look a little pedestrian but I liked it on rewatch as well.

I think X also plays on giallo and has a thematic point to it in the franchise. It's just also the ensemble one with lots of needle drops. It got the franchise going in a big tent way.

Pearl is just free from 70s and 80s legacy like these other two are/will be. They had to invent 1918 horror. Mia Goth's character work is great. The way they play with the stuff from X is great
