HENNYGODHNDRXX· editedNot naming anyone but I posted about this earlier. Knew a nyc artist who gained traction/blew up in the last 2 year. A melodic street artist. Went to school with him and was cool with his friends . He isn’t as gangster as he acts but he was definitely down and some of his friends were actual gangbangers. He was “gangster” by connection. He was actually pretty good in school but didn’t give a f***.
I remember he came to school after he gained traction just to walk the halls and my teacher said “ Let him be he’s a famous singer now”

Dec 4, 2020·1 replyDizzy DakeWhen I was in high school (late 2000's) my friends and I were hanging out at a golf course that was across the street from Jeezy's house. During lunch, my friends and I would walk 5 minutes to the downtown area for lunch. One day while we are walking to lunch Jeezy was pulling into his gated driveway. We said "Hey Jeezy" and waved at him. He asked us what we were doing and after finding out we were going to lunch he invited us to have lunch with him since that is what he was doing.
We're sitting on his patio eating grilled chicken with him telling stories about growing up poor and working really hard to earn what he had. It was pretty surreal
Jeezy was just the persona... he was actually a very funny, down-to-earth and truthfully empathetic guy. I always greatly respected him after that day

Dec 4, 2020I'm from Paterson and I've seen Fetty Wap here and there before he got famous but never got to actually meet him up front.
When he blew up, it was surreal because I never pictured him reaching that level.
He still comes through time and time again and he actually endorsed some Dominican cop who was running for mayor who's name escapes me.
