Drake on his ascent seems so much more authentic and relatable to me. Now he doesn't seem like a real human being tbh
Wouldn’t go as far as to say music peaked with this album, but I do think it’s overhated.
Is Kendrick the only mainstream rapper from that era to have a solid debut album? Cole, Sean, Drake, Tyler all dropped some mid
nicki and tyga
I will ember understand the hate for TML
Such a damn good album
Just because Drake didn’t find his identity and his true voice and style until TC doesn’t take away the greatness that is TML
It’s forever my fav Drake album and gives me such good memories attached to it
yea this common knowledge LMAO how u think drake got to be drake
By dropping a great debut
Better than his recent output of albums, that's for damn sure
Even with the crazy highs and lows ratio of his post-if your reading this project I’ll still take any of them (maybe besides HN) over thank me later

He was great at writing from that perspective that’s why I love so Far Gone and Take Care and even NWTS but he’s as good as ever at songwriting imo

I don’t know man, listening to Lose You
Loved the album back when it came out. Haven't listened to it fully in years but whenever a song comes on shuffle, it doesn't get skipped
hot take here ig but nobody in the real world likes find your love either.
Sometimes a hot take label is just a way of saying something flat out wrong fam

I feel like recent drake is WAY more authentic than SFG/TML era of fitting in with that late 2000’s pretty boy vibe
Its good, but he dropped several albums that were better in retrospect.
Album still serves as a great time marker tho. I remember going to a Young Money showcase back then, where it was basically a contest and the winner got to open for YM
The nigga that won just did a f***ing remix of Over......
It's sandwiched between take care and sfg that's why it's underrated cus those two albums are amazing
