Iconic af. Too many people only count TLET and MM, but this is a flawless album that deserves a little more recognition.

    Album cover so iconic too.

Production sounds so clean at the same time as being dated, but in a very good way.

Totally different vibe and mood to MM and TLET. More upbeat and fundamentalist hip hop at the same time as being alternative too of course. Sounds great loud. The beats are insane as are the drums.

bumping it now and, not saying this is a demerit against the album, but the first 30 seconds do harsh the vibe if you put it on just tryna chill loool

No matter how much praise atcq it will never be enough. Q tip has one of the most beautiful minds in the genre. With that being said, Phife deserves more praise! One of my favourite voices in rap. This is a classic album start to finish and I gotta thank you for reminding me to listen to it

That’s fair man. I genuinely think the opposite. There’s like one miss on the project for me. The opening four tracks are insanely good

Imagine losing you wallet in 89/90. People would just walk around with wads of notes in a wallet.

I was just thinking how absurd the concept for the song is already, and then how stupid it would sound to zoomers lol

Love the album. Great listen for me, near flawless production, some nice features and tip and phife were mostly on point. I like it slightly more than BR&L

Yeah one of the crazy things about that era was all of those dudes came up with the songs as pause tape demos years before the albums came out. De La with Plug Tunin was similar, and Butterfly of Digable Planets had their whole debut composed and written as a teen too
