Speaking from a non-American perspective, a common theme I see across other countries social media, subreddits, etc. is people speculating and hoping it doesn’t turn ‘violent’. Even though there’s no reason, precedent or indicator that this will happen. Again this isn’t referring to America

Similarly for countries with good recovery from COVID, people have always talked about the second wave (no indicators so far in many places) or made ridiculous statements like after this event the city’s all infected, etc.

Some people call them doomers but I legit think the pandemic, riots and protests are exposing the inner anarchy or darkness inside people satiating for something to happen to entertain them from their dull lives. I doubt anyone would admit this but this is what I read from this excitement and anticipation

Definitely agree with you. In any other year—one without a global pandemic forcing everyone to stay home for months—this past week would not have happened. It would have just been another injustice towards the black man. There would have been protests for sure, but it would have been localized. It would not have been on the global and violent scale we saw. It’s beautiful imo because out of all this, I’m truly seeing change and signs toward police reformation.
