I'm into fashion but I'd very much say that, at the very least, 90% of it sucks and if not for the brand no one would even consider wearing some of these clothes.
But there's also a good almost 10% that's just a breath of fresh air where the creative director just says f*** it I'm going to make it MY thing whether you like or not. Virgil, and I disliked a lot of the things he put out, to stay in the LV theme had this thing sticked to him almost as a motto. You were going to be wow-ed by the things he designed, in a good or bad way, and you could be 100% certain that what he was going to put out was going to be unprecedented, at least on the high end fashion field.
This P show was just bang average, 0 risk taken, a bunch of pieces that looked like straight rip offs from Loewe or Wales B. and the others well come on now those leather jackets ? For the love of god what the f*** are those. There's a black leather jacket that looked like it just transported itself from a white guy Tiktok mixing it with a shirt, tie and jorts
My first introduction to what fashion should look like was through a friend that showed me the Alexander McQueen spring/summer 1999 show with the famous Shalom Harlow ending (look it up on YouTube it's amazing). That's imo the standard that every single one of those designers should set their minds on but we've reached the stage of this business where they'll just send some free stuff to artists/athletes and who cares if what makes fashion fashion isn't even sticked to the product as long as it sells
are you guys s***ting on this because you guys think Kanye was supposed to be the one who is the Director of LV or is it genuinely bad?
Jacket & belt
Pants & shoes
Whole fit so clean
Now please someone explain to me why would you need to go to LV to dress like this. Like what's special about those looks that you tell yourself "it's gotta be LV". NOTHING. (And the first look is awfully terrible. Green Day ass fit)
love the soccer jersey the material seems leather like
Tracksuit with the pearls very pharrel/chanel like
This is a perfect example of how creative they were witb the camo/damier/pixelation. they did on a fur jacket

the costume jewellery is fire in this collection it ads a bit of needed luxury to a heavy streetwear influenced collection. All the clasps, chains and ornaments were cool

the weird toe shoes might be most standout footwear of the collection for me
They’re trying to recreate the Virgil magic and it ain’t working. They should’ve just hired a regular fashion designer
Bro said regular

Usually these luxury brands stand for a certain quality. The quality comes from materials sourced, educated designers and staff, elevated cuts and silhouettes. Not every designer brand or piece represents this but it often also comes with a design/brand identity.
The identity of LV Menswear has switched to elevated streetwear. So you get something like a tracksuit pants like picture 2. The flowyness of the pant and the way its tapered from like a regular fit to a smooth flare at the bottom, the material is thick enough to stack but smooth enough to flow, the side seems to be bedazzeled with pearls as well.It is something that could be worn in a more formal setting even tho its more of a steetwear piece.
So yeah you can get a straight fit adidas track suit pants in black with three white stripes on the side but it speaks a different language then the LV piece because of the things i mentioned before. One is not better then the other it is all about what you prefer style wise.
