For me it’s a close one between lil Jon produced songs/ Pit Bull radio dominance/and DJMustard reign of terror
The metro/ Pierre Bourne/ wheezy/ southside era has been such a dope time for music lovers
When everything had a wordless post-chorus of chopped vocal samples from 2016-2018
whatever lil yachty was
Like old bubble gum rap yachty or do you not like him in general
during 16/17 a lot pop artists decided to release folksy country-Americana album about “getting back to their roots” and most of them were mediocre and unauthentic
Tropical house also was pretty meh outside of couple songs
Big room also is pretty awful
I’m not necessarily glad it’s over, but does anyone else remember the early 2010s acronym phase in rap? Y.O.L.O., U.O.E.N.O., T.A.P., FDB, etc. There were others and a lot of rip-offs from has-beens trying to cash in on the trend. This one comes to mind:
songs like this. Such an annoying beat bro

SoundCloud Era
That lil no album rollout/surprise drop era e.g Beyonce
That Don't You Worry Child era where trance/edm was mainstream and everyone was going to Trance Parties (not sure how widespread this was)

Post some examples of this?
