Yea after watching the rest of these QB’s in week 1, I’m glad the Eagles are the least talked about team this week
Eagles playing tomorrow.
Yea we opening our season basically playing two games in one week. Them boys wasn’t playing for real against the Patriots. (Shit, we damn near had to gameplan for two teams this offseason)
This whole season is literally a battle of attrition. We playing a different game than everybody else.
I could tell that J Hurts was low mode on purpose. The team knows that we playing for the Super Bowl. We not playing for Week 1.
Man look how shaky niggas been looking out here. Mahomes doing all this running, Aaron Rodgers hurt, the Ravens busted up and Lamar throwing interceptions, Joe Burrow… all that. Yeah the Eagles are in a good place. We didn’t hit any news wires except for folks to say we won and complaining that we didn’t go crazy like usual. Nice and steady.
Damn our schedule gets crazy after a while lol.
Dolphins, Commanders, Cowboys, Chiefs, Bills, 49ers, Cowboys sheesh.
And we play the Jets before that
Going back over some of the film, I owe Justin Evans an apology. I was far too critical of him, the LBs were a far bigger issue. Still not 100% about the TD where Bradberry got turned around, but aside from that he wasn't nearly as big a problem as I thought
GO EAGLES
Going to the game tonight
Look for me in the Eagles jersey
S/o to D'Andre Swift, Josh Sweat, and Jordan Davis
Good win. The Super Bowl revealed our defense is mid so we can’t be caught off guard by that. We made some good plays and lead all game and capitalized on opportunities (field goal before half, turnover + early score to start the 2nd half). Swift did well and so did Davonta. Hurts gave AJ Brown a couple of opportunities, but a penalty brought back one TD and the second one could’ve been a TD. So it’s all good there.
No one on the team looked like they strained themselves too much. No Eagles breathing hard. We have an incredibly deep and talented squad; we rotating our running backs like pitchers. Everyone don’t gotta play the whole game every game. But everyone will have their opportunities. Keep everyone healthy. Keep everyone eating. We’re scoring 25, 34 points easy. Defense is doing well and getting turnovers, but for one reason or another we always end up allowing points. It’s not like the opponent’s offense is ever better or more efficient than ours; it’s like the opponent gets a bunch of opportunities after a while.
Didn’t like Hurts deep balls today. Cost some receivers some touchdowns, and our wideouts had to make adjustments on many of those long passes.
Sean Desai found a way last night man. Came into the game already down Dean, Bradberry and Blankenship, lost Maddox the rest of the way as well as Davis, Sweat, and Cunningham for some snaps (don't think those last 3 were serious though). Literal backups at 3/5 secondary spots, and the other safety is a backup level talent so it was really Slay and some guys. And we all know how the LB situation is, don't really have to speak on that much.
We knew it'd be leaky but the dam didn't break, and I like that

Evans didn’t look like complete dog s*** this week. Jobe did his thing too, Goodrich kinda got cooked, but Vikings have a top 5 receiving core, so it is what it is. Desai’s scheme looked good overall though and the blitzes he called were effective.
offensive needs to be structured how it was 2nd half. very reminiscent of last season. it’s basic stuff but once that run game gets established everything comes easier
Jake Elliott is such a legend. David Akers was my childhood but Jake Elliott is the best kicker in franchise history
Wanna bring this back up after he hit another 61-yarder
Don't really care he missed the 55-yarder, the degree of difficulty is up there for kickers but more times than not from distance I got faith in the little dude with the strong right foot
Better than David Akers? Idk.
How was it?
It was awesome. Great weather. Club level seats right by the 50. Fun game
we need more production from edge tbh
Sweat's doing his thing, Reddick started slow last year and he's probably still a little impacted by the thumb. Would like for Nolan to start eating into those Barnett snaps tho
