People speculating that the holdup on firing BJ is that Howie is waiting to see how his HC interviews go. If he gets a job somewhere we get a comp 3rd round pick. If not he’ll just be fired. Would make sense tbh

We'd get two 3rds for him getting hired away. The teams that have/had interest in him are Carolina, Tennessee, and Atlanta, and it was reported this morning that the Carolina interview never happened. They are also moving forward towards their 2nd round of interviews so it'd be down to Tennessee or Atlanta to hire Johnson away before we know his status.

He got hoed plain and simple. The defense wasn't great with him but it at least showed life in certain games and moments. There wasn't even a pulse when Patricia took over.

interesting stories post season end. Jalen is the man and he is OUR man but he must show more emotion. idc if it's just what the cameras show, and we dont know the full picture. the best of the best are firing their guys up on the sidelines and being the leader.

coordinator wise, not really sure what the best option is for the hirings. lots of good names out there. hopefully BJ gets scooped by another team for those bonus picks though.

this whole “show emotion” narrative is so dumb to me

it may very well be, but at times you gotta appease the fans. most of these other guys (QBs) are always chirping their teammates on the side, after success after defeat, doesn’t matter. cameras rarely show him doing so, and so either they specifically catch him in this bad light to paint this stoic picture, or he actually isn’t ever chirping his teammates mid game.

maybe it’s just recency bias and my memory being shot, but that’s what i saw when watching, and the fans get tired of it.

maybe it’s just yet another area though of comparing to people like mahomes and brady that needs to be put to bed. those two are in a league of their own, and expecting anyone else to act like
them in all manners is silly. but that’s where the crux of the complaining is from fans i think. looking at those two and seeing leaders in them and then comparing it to jalen.

It’s not. He’s not leading a Fortune 500 company. He’s leading a bunch of guys going out there to smack the s*** out of each other. The game is emotional, if you never show fire then why would anyone who is following you show fire.
