If this season begins shaping up like we all feel it should, Howie has to make a move for more edge depth. Not sure if anyone elite will actually get moved, feels like that never happens at the deadline.

I love BG, but if we have to rely on him like we did Sunday, for the rest of the season…. We’re in trouble.

If the Raiders continue to snowball and Howie doesn't try to "win the deal" but actually presents proper value for him, I genuinely think we could get him. Offering a 1st & 2nd for a top 5 edge defender is an easy call in a contending window. ELITE against both the run and the pass and we don't have to worry about his workload, he has gone multiple games throughout his career playing every snap for the Raiders.

I love that this isn't just some ceremonial retirement tour for BG and that he's actually contributing but I agree completely. He is still a valuable and useful player, but he can't be the EDGE1 for us anymore even though it's comforting knowing that he still can be when needed to

We have multiple years of high level production for guys like this so there is no projection. Also, it is a more seamless transition bringing in an edge defender or a running back midseason than a secondary player, wide receiver, or offensive lineman where you needs ton more communication
