I thought all the cb’s got cooked today, plus lots of missed tackles. Jalen Carter disappeared. Hurts has got to stop fumbling and get the ball out quicker. Saquan was not utilized enough early. Bye week came at the perfect time.

I was belligerent by time saquan dropped the ball vs the falcons, so I don’t know how true the statement “they are one drop away from being 3-0” is.

But if that is true, they could be 3-1.

scheme might suck, but there imo is only so much "blame" that can be placed on "the scheme" with this group. these guys just clearly arent dogs and choose to dial it up when they feel like it. no level of bad scheming with good talent can lead to this poor level of QB pressure, and so for that reason, im simply led to believe the skill is not there

This is the one game where the pass rush gets grace from me. Baker was timed at 1.95s time to throw, fastest in the league. A line with Myles Garrett and TJ Watt isn’t getting there fast enough. (Their run defense is a different story)

But that brings to light what I think was the real issue yesterday: tackling. How many times did Chris Godwin, Rachaad White, and Bucky Irving have a defender eating turf yesterday?

i believe tackling(fundamentals) should actually fall on the HC. BUT! i am leaning toward the idea of tossing everyone to the sun, cause as much as i do believe it all starts from the top, the lack of accountability at the player level frustrates me. they should want better for themselves like damn theyre grown ass men, being embarrassed on the field should go wayyyy beyond who your coach is and using him as a scapegoat....

idk. just frustrated. its the 2nd half of last year all over again.

lastly, i like to give him grace, but Hurts pocket presence. another scenario of fundamentals lacking so badly. how can he repeat almost identically such a major issue week after week? worrying.

I think it’s a little of both honestly. With younger players still acclimating, if the tackling issue is widespread I’m more inclined to blame coaching. It’s our veterans who can’t tackle lmao, at that point that’s just who you are as a player

The only two players in the secondary I can trust to make a tackle are Q and Reed. DeJean and Ringo might be our best tackling DBs and they’re on the bench 75% of the game lol

The fumbles are almost always a result of him not feeling pressure well. On broadcasts we hear all the “keep him in the pocket” which is funny because I honestly feel less confident in him when he’s throwing on the run
