A new play caller won’t help the flawed scheme. Sure someone else could balance it out a little more, but it doesn’t help that the play design is bland with limited route trees and very obvious tells between the run and passing game

Last night, for sure, a lot of the blame can be put on Jalen. Namely on the missed deep shot to Smitty and the red zone pick. But in the grand scheme of things it’s difficult to run a productive offense when the defense is keying in on everything that’s about to happen. DB’s know the routes they’re going against because it’s only 3 routes they really have to cover, and the play design is drawn up where damn near every time Jalen is under center, Saquon is getting the ball. There’s nothing creative to this scheme.
IMO the blame goes
Patullo > Nick >> Poor OL play >>>> Jalen

A new playcaller would help the sequencing of plays and setting up the run for the pass and the pass for the run. There is literally no plan or identity they just calling plays. If all else it would help the run game.

Ultimately I want Nick to call plays so he can get outta here. We need a total reset on offensive scheme.

Ultimately this is an indictment on Sirianni. Which I why I want him to catch fire, stop hiding, and call the plays from YOUR OFFENSE, Fail so we can move on.

I get it completely, but at the moment, I feel like Nick is pretty firmly in his seat, regardless of how this season ends. Next year is something else entirely if it ends sour.
But I’ve always wanted a play calling HC, it would alleviate the bullshit we’re currently going through and went through in 2023. If Nick can do it, then he should be doing it, successfully or not. At least we’d know where he stands between it all
