I disagree cuz the team is ready. We have everything we need roster wise. Plug a solid HC that can call plays and we b2b

    You might be right.

This not an attractive job for an OC, risking their rep to take darts for the HC.

And if we hire a good OC, do well, they leave following season to coach, we just enter an endless cycle…

    Is the lions OC attractive?

first everyone is mad at nick for calling plays himself, especially in big moments. then he lets the OC handle it and now they’re mad he isn’t calling plays, especially in big moments. some catch-22 bullshit lol.

We know that, historically, if Nick has a good OC and DC, we do really well. The locker room stays healthy, and we stay locked in. Nick w a good OC and DC produces historically good results. like legitimately compared to all other head coach assistant coach pairings in NFL history.

At the end of the day my point is i dont give a f*** about ur feelings. I don’t care if you feel weird abt nick or he makes u feel embarrassed when we lose. I give a f*** about results. Nick + good assistant coaches has delivered better results than literally anybody else ever in NFL history. and im not even exaggerating bruh. u too stupid to realize we already got the recipe.

that does make it a good job for an OC. Work under a guy like McVay you will get neither credit nor autonomy. Work under Sirianni and you have a good roster while also getting both credit or autonomy. If you have "it" it's a good gig.

but that naturally leads to us hiring mercenaries.

Took us about a week to fire Brian then 3 days after that to hire Kellen. I’m sure there are some candidates in the playoffs that they’re eyeing as well.

Everyone in the league saw our offense was ass in 2023 and 2025. That ain’t taking no darts for the HC. Tf.

If you got all that talent on offense and can’t do nothing with it, that has nothing to do with the HC. Stop it

I wouldn't go this far lol, this is a very attractive OC spot. Of the 4 OCs we've had in this regime, if you're worth even half a damn you'll be hired as a HC. If you're dogshit then that's on you

As questionable as Nick has been, gotta shout him out for making the decision. Complacency is what got Doug fired. At least Nick was able to do it, albeit about 4 months too late.
