Not sure how reliable the opinion piece is since I don't live there, but apparently it wasn't a full blown story of people letting the women get raped cause they didn't care.
People noticed the crime and reported it immediately with police arriving at the stop of the subway.
People are taking this as a story for the police to push a pro-police movement to get funding
In for another 50 page thread where someone says they ain’t dying for a b**** they don’t know and the rest of us act like we’d just rush in to fight a crazy nigga with his d*** out
Who’s it gonna be

This isn't about that though. The people did help the best they could, and the police lied saying it was a crowd full of people letting it happen.
so they called authorities rather then trying to stop the rape happening right in front of em?

Crazy people believed them anyway

I don't think most people would have attempted to jump in, but I don't the the 40 min story is true.
People did help which is what the original story said that they weren't doing.

Nothing wrong with calling the police since that's what you're told to do on SEPTA, NJTransit, MTA, etc. If you see some wild s*** going on call the police/transit authorities.
Though I agree they could've done something. However from what I am reading there were riders who did do something to stop it and others called the police.
This is what it always felt like it would have been. Nothing about the original story sounded right with what they were explaining the actual incident.
Blame em for not stepping in the middle of it or failing to physically stop it sure but the idea they were making that a train filled with people were just sitting casually while a rape occurred was wild.
Police wild for that
What did they lie about?
The 40+ min time span of the incident and the crowd full of people on the station or subway doing nothing.
The crime did happen, but people did what they could to help immediately. The other thread acted like it was a whole mob of people watching and ignoring it.
Nah not so much patting one's self on their back. There's unfortunately just a lot of wack ass niggas on KTT who do exactly what dude is saying.
Facts but this ain't the place for that
Yea i didn’t read op before posting i just read Philadelphia and wanted first post 😔
