I havnt seen her since she really blew up in a big way. Last time I saw her was the Boygenius tour.

It kinda sucks cause I’d loooove another Boygenius project but at this point if they toured it, I do agree, the shows would be frustrating because the crowd would be super Phoebe oriented and maybe feel weird. That OG Boygenius tour was really special.

i should rewrite that sentence better, but anyway, not to be another f***ing steve lacy type show sucks complaining ass, but i do feel there is a certain....lack of sincerity for these artists' actual work. i know bands and artists are all brands we naturally attach ourselves and use to express our self and personality, but it just feels like its taken to the extreme now. now its like people use the associated brand of the artist to prop up their own brand.

this annoyance i guess is stemming from the beabadoobee show i went to last week. this f***ing girl a few people behind me f***ing ruined it lowkey because she just kept recording everything and saying dumb s*** while she was performing, and of course, it was just so she could have 'funny' overdrammatic tiktoks. everyone else was doing the same, but she was the f***ing loudest and most obscene about it.

like when i saw the better oblivion show, 90 percent of the people there were just there for phoebe. i felt old as s*** because i was there for conor lmfao.

anyway, but ive since her more times since then, each time in a bigger and bigger venue and the last time i left the show kinda disappointed. s*** just felt hollow tbh.

yeh i mean, its really anecdotal right?

plus, it kinda depends on the people around u

like, the way you can be in a perfectly fine group of people unaware that 5 people over someone has punched someone, and someone else threw up there in the crowd lmao

plus it could also root cause i try to be up close. i do that so i dont have a billion phones between me and the stage, but the downside is having to wait and be next to really young and/or delusional ass stans for hours and hours

I saw her on the reunion tour and people were all under 21, screaming sexualized comments to her, and holding signs asking her to top them.

    Not a joke.
